Before you spend hours in front of the camera on your wedding day, you should spend some time in front of the lens for another very important photo session: an engagement portrait session. Engagement sessions give you an opportunity to get comfortable with posing and and insecurities you might have about being in front of a camera. E-sessions are also a great way to get professional images for your wedding website, social media feed and save the date cards!

TIP 1: Coordinate your wardrobe with your location and season. Choose appropriate fabrics and textures for the temperature of where you are having your photos taken. This sweet couple had their engagement portraits done at Grayton Beach in Florida's panhandle. The summer sunsets here never disappointment!

TIP #2: Love cloudy days! Beautiful portraits are created with flattering light and clouds produce a gorgeous soft light, however... when visiting the beach, we want as much sun as we can get! Because of this, I will only photography BEACH sessions at sunrise or sunset (during the guaranteed golden hour light). I can create jaw-dropping images any time of the day, it's just a matter of finding the best location with flattering light.
